The world’s greatest squash players have returned to the energising East Wintergarden for the 14th Canary Wharf Squash Classic, with what promises to be a set of classic matches to determine who rules the roost in one of the most intense and invigorating sports on the planet.
Five-times champion Nick Matthew OBE will lock horns with the in-form Ryan Cuskelly in an opening match that may well set the tone for the finest Classic yet. Cuskelly, hot on the heels of his Motor City Open title from Detroit, will be looking to overturn the obvious advantage posed by a living legend of the squash circuit.
Last year's thrilling event produced a new champion, as French firebrand Mathieu Castagnet bested Egypt’s top-seed Omar Mosaad in a spectacular final.
This year's action from the PSA World Tour M70 event will see seasoned veterans match their wits against up-and-coming starts staking their claim to squash's premier crown, culminating with the grand final on Friday 10 March, and you can keep up with the action here.
